Type 2 diabetes has a host of symptoms beyond the more commonly known symptoms, like weight gain and increased thirst. If you’re experiencing symptoms of prediabetes or type 2 diabetes, reach out to your doctor. They can schedule some labs to see if your blood glucose is elevated.
Type 2 diabetes symptoms include:
Fatigue
Increased thirst and dry mouth
Increased urination
Frequent vaginal or urinary infections
Erectile dysfunction
Increased hunger
Neuropathy (numbness, tingling in feet and hands)
Blurred vision
Slow-healing sores or frequent infections
Weight gain
It is important to keep an eye out for symptoms of prediabetes so you can take action before it progresses to type 2 diabetes.
Prediabetes symptoms include:
Feeling tired and hungry all the time
Poor sleep
Difficulty focusing
Neuropathy (numbness, tingling in feet and hands)
Skin darkens in the neck, armpits, and skin folds
Developing many small skin tags
