Virta Health’s fully-virtual, free Moonshots for Health event returns on Wednesday, October 12. Bringing together a mix of industry leaders and Virta patients, speakers will explore bold solutions to America’s most vexing healthcare issues, including the chronic disease epidemic, health inequity, out-of-control drug prices, and care for a rapidly aging population.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, advances such as sweeping federal legislation to lower drug prices for older adults and massively broadened telehealth access have shown promise for an improved future of healthcare. Yet, during the same period, diabetes-related deaths surged. Overall life expectancy fell—with particularly worrying drops for Native American populations—and drug prices soared.
